First Cry of Independence

On August 10, 1809 Ecuador declared independence from the King of Spain. This event is called "First Cry of Independence". Why? Because it was the first try for independence in the region. The intent was not succesful; however, it is considered a starting point for our country´s independence.
Do you have any idea of the dangers that people who participated in the movement had to face? Who were those patriots? Why did they want to be free? Those are many of the questions that you may ask yourself if you haven´t read enough about it.

WHAT WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU TOOK PART ON THIS GREAT DAY ?
I would feel very proud and nervous too, I would be proud because I'm changing the way the people think, so they would fight for liberty and because I will inspire other countries to be free, I will be nervous because some spainiards can kill me because I'm thinking about independence and thinking about taking them out of the county.
